Thu, 01/08/2013The Iris Exchange (IREX) IV evaluation aims to provide a scientific evaluation of the performance of automated iris identification
algorithms. IREX IV evaluated the performance of 66 identification algorithm prototypes submitted by 12 research
institutions. Performance was evaluated over a set of over 4 million field-collected iris images.
IREX IV is the fourth activity in the IREX Program. The IREX Program was established by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) in 2009 to provide qualitative and quantitative support for iris recognition standardization,
development, and deployment.
